So, a year ago at this time I was a total gym rat, going 4-5 days a week and taking all the cardio classes that they gym offered. This past March I got burnt out and stoped the cardio classes and just did a lot of Pilates and some yoga classes b/c I was bored of the jumping around classes.
This summer I stopped yoga and just did Pilates 1-2 times a week. Since getting my BFP I've been nervous to work out! I'm mostly nervous b/c I have cramps all the time and just the act of standing up too quickly or sneezing makes my lower abdomen hurt even more. So, I'm just nervous to go to Pilates and/or yoga because of this. I also won't do any cardio classes since most of them are pretty intense and I haven't gone to one in months.
I'm also tired, and so I just don't feel like going. I'm hoping that once I go to my first U/S and see the baby and know this pregnany is normal I won't be so nervous to work out. I also don't want to tell the instructors I'm PG yet, until I know that there is something in there! Does anyone feel the same way?
Re: Nervous about exercising?
I will not be working out the first trimester. My OB says it's fine, but I m/c twice, and I know it's soley coincidence, but I started walking, lifting shortly before each m/c.
I also spoke to a friend who had 4 m/c before she got her sticky baby and with her sticky baby, she was told not to workout in the first trimester. I'd rather by safe than sorry, particularly with my history.
That being said - listen to your OB and your body. Everthing in moderation.

I did IVF too. I'm still under strict "no exercise, no orgasm" rules until told otherwise. Hopefully that will change soon!!
