If those studies are actually true and more heartburn means a full head of hair for baby... My baby will need a haircut right after they cut the umbilical cord! Keep those scissors out doc!
But what if you have heartburn because you have reflux? I've been on reflux meds for years and I'm having break through heart burn. One of my friends said LO is going to have hair but I'm doubtful. My sister and I were practically bald until age 2!

I keep telling my husband that our baby is going to come out with a full head of hair, given the amount of heartburn I've had. I pointed him to the Johns Hopkins study, but he still doesn't buy it! Although, frankly, if our little one takes after my husband we're going to have a pretty hairy child eventually anyway.
My sister had horrible heartburn - like she could barely drink water - with all 4 of her kids and all 4 were either bald or only had a tiny bit of hair, so don't hold your breath.....

If this old wives' tale is true then this kid is going to born with a fro for sure. My husband has beautiful thick wavy italian hair so I hope our lo gets his hair (mine is so think and blah).

If this is true, I am pretty sure the baby was having a charity fundraiser for Locks of Love in there last night. I just called the doc to ask what I could take that was stronger than Tums because they were not working at all.
It was true for ds and with this pregnancy I'm having even MORE heartburn than I did with him, so I think this one is going to come out with 80s rocker hair! lol
I second that! Indigestion just started this week and it's not fun LOL.
I had zero with DS and he came out with a full head of hair. So I have a feeling that even with all this indigestion, this baby is coming out with no hair! :0(
Re: Heartburn and babies hair
I had a bald baby last time and no heartburn.
I've had it everyday for the past few weeks this time...well see!
It was true for me! I love me some hairy babies and hope to have another one.
