She rarely has leaks but of course the day I take her into work she leaked while my boss was holding her and by the time we noticed someone else was holding her. :0
I am super paranoid that she will have a diaper malfunction because I worry people will assume it is because we use cloth diapers (even though they really are much more dependable)... Anyone else worry about this?
Re: Ugh... Baby's diaper leaked (on my boss)
Just think, she may have had a poo-splosion in a disposable.
I had one leak on an acquaintance who was holding her up high on her chest. She looked like her boobs were leaking after she was done! Fortunately she was a mom of twins, so it was NBD for her
LOL, DD was in sposies when she was in daycare, and she had a poo-splosion in those 2-3x/week! Never when we had her home in CDs.
Same- she was in disposables for daycare until today (they finally agreed to let me use them) and she was in different clothes because of blowout diapers 4 days a week.
I know people that have only used disposables don't know the difference, but what is the point of disposable diapering if the poop doesn't stay IN the diaper? The only "blowout" we ever had was in a workhorse fitted seconds that had loose elastic around the legs, and he hadn't pooed in three days. Even then it was contained inside the thirsties cover. I'm not trying to sound snotty about it, I am just so soooo glad we CD. He doesn't go every day, so when he does... Yikes.
I never really worried or thought about leaks, though, because we haven't had one (yet, *knocks on wood*).
When DS was a week old he peed out of him diaper all over my stomach and lap. We got rid of those diapers soon after lol.
I save our 'bulletproof' diapers for when we're out or when somebody else is watching him so that I don't have to defend my CD choice. My mom tends to not put the diapers on tight enough (her admission) so he leaks a lot on her.
