Strep B and pregnancy

 Hi ladies!

I am almost 8 weeks pregnant and I since I have had several UTI in the past, I decided to check with my OB....well, looks like I have Strep B. The physician told me I should wait to treat and I don't see my regular OB for my first appointment until next Thursday, the 20th....

What do you think ladies.... I don't want this to be a something negative affecting my pregnancy...I really want to be bring my rainbow baby healthy home....

    depending on what they want to do and how early you are (ticker not showing) they may not want to start anything yet because it could cause harm.  When I was preg w/ my son I had a very bad YI, but they wouldn't let me treat it till I hit 12 wks.  It got so bad the irritation so to speak spread to my stomach and I was itching like crazy so I had to take benedryl to calm the itch until I could treat the YI.

    I agree with PP, it's something they usually don't treat until labor and you have an IV of antibiotics preventing the spreading to the baby.
