It's been the opposite over here -- I'm the one constantly having mini meltdowns while DH is the calm, reassuring one.
He just keeps reminding me that the second I get to hold & kiss that little baby I'm not going to be worrying one bit about how I'm going to handle it because all I'll want to do is "handle it" and take care of him/her.
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

Thank you I'm going to be coming to the well of 2u2 for support.
I'm currently wondering if I'm crazy because I'm not worried right now.
Well one of you has to be the calm one right? It hit me more when I saw the baby at 8 wks on the u/s, which made me nervous as well as excited. I got more excited as the idea became more real and so will your DH.
Remind him of how he felt when he held your DD, its the same feeling except you arent nervous about being a parent since you already are one I loved having DS, but having DD was so much fun because we were welcoming in a new personality to our family.

It actually took dd coming home with us before dh stopped freaking out. We have 2u1 and it is kicking our butt (had dd 3 weeks ago) but it is manageable.
So really he only wanted the fun TTC part:) I'm sure once he sees a beautiful Abby 2.0 he will no longer be concerned. Hopefully he gets over it sooner though!

We're the same. I'm in full-on panic mode while DH is actually excited. I think it's because it was a bit of a surprise. We were going to start TTC this month, not last. I'm sure he'll come around, Chrissie.

It will come in waves for you as well.
I was cool, calm and collected for most of my second pregnancy, but the last couple of weeks I was a basket case. LOL
