Similac Alimentum and Constipation?

DS was switched on Monday to Similac Alimentum b/c of fussiness, ridiculous gas and my other son had a severe milk protein allergy. He has been going to the bathroom every other day and his stools were fine but you could tell last night and all day today that his tummy was bothering him. When he finally went to the bathroom the stools were really hard and light in color. Is this a side affect from the formula, should I be concerned? Besides the constipation he is doing great on the formula. My other son was on this formula too and had absolutely no issues but he was very severe milk protein allergy.

Any input is great.... thanks!

    My LO is on Alimentum and has regular stools every day so it may just be how your LO handles it. You could potentially (with pedi approval of course) replace one ounce of water in every bottle with prune or pear juice to help.
