3rd trimester blood work?

I understand doing another CBC but why the HIV screen again?  How do I go about refusing the HIV screen again. I just do not see the point.  I have had 2 in the last year. One for school (EMT) and one for the first trimester.  I guess I figure it is a waste of money and time.

    I didn't know there was any 3rd trimester bloodwork, outside of the GD test. What all do you have to get done and is that standard? I'm at 34 weeks and haven't heard anything about this.

    I hadn't heard anything about this either until I went in for my 35 week appointment today and they stabbed me and drew four vials of blood. The nurse told me it was an "OB Profile"...whatever that means.

    I found out today.  It is crazy.  I did not have any 3rd trimester blood work with DD 5 years ago.

    never knew there was a 3rd trimester blood screening. they should have done the HIV test at the beginning but never heard of it happening now.
