Hi ladies! DH and I live in the NW suburbs, but may have to move back into the city for a job. If we move back, we'll probably be renting in Bucktown/Wicker Park and working in the Loop. Can anyone recommend daycare options in either of these locations? I'd ideally like to keep it around $1,500/mo (if possible) and would prefer something close to home, but am not opposed to something close to work. We do have a car if there's a great daycare that's a close drive but not walkable. TIA!
Re: Daycare in Bucktown or downtown
I'd highly recommend joining NPN (npnparents.org) if you do move to Chicago- a lot of resources for city parents including daycares.
Be warned though- most have waiting lists that are MILES long. DC#2 is in the infant side of a daycare only because DC#1 was already enrolled- I know other people w/o sibling priority and heard the waitlist is over 100 babies.
Hello,
I have a small at home Day Care located in Bucktown, on the 1700 N block of Western. I have 2 full time children enrolled at the present time, and will only provide child care for 4 children at one time. My other 2 day care children have started preschool, so I have 2 slot open. If you are interested in finding out more details, call Frances at 312-371-6629. Thank you!
