Andrew just decided that he would start eating solids and so far he only really likes finger foods. I'm just curious what your LOs are eating at this age. Also ~ how much formula/breastmilk are they getting?
DS gets solids at breakfast and dinner. Right now he's not eating much of what we offer at dinner, but he does great with breakfast. He gets a piece of fruit (right now he's having a plum) and either some yogurt or a whole grain waffle. For dinner he gets a vegetable (last night was broccoli, we also do carrots, parsnips, peppers, asparagus, sweet potatoes, squash, etc) and either meat or toast/crackers.
For solids: homemade oatmeal with a fruit for breakfast and a veggie (or mix with veggie) for dinner. Minus the obvious allergens, we pretty much give DD whatever we eat. She will eat about 4 oz of solids and 28-32 oz of BM a day.

He takes 4 7 oz bottles and 3 6 oz solids meals per day. I try for a grain, fruit or veggie, and meat or dairy with each meal.
Breakfast is usually oatmeal, pancakes, or toast, scrambled eggs or yogurt, and a fruit. Lunch is multigrain cereal, a veggie, and cottage cheese or shredded cheese. Dinner usually bits of meat, split peas, lentils, navy beans, a veggie, and brown rice or pasta.
My daughter will take anywhere from 24-30 oz of formula a day (sometimes she needs that extra 6 oz bottle and sometimes not).
She eats yogurt for breakfast (which is 3.5 oz in size) and she has a veggie mix at around 2 pm (which is about 4 oz in size).
When it comes time for dinner, she is too busy wanting to play, then she wants only a bottle, then she is sleepy and ready for bed... so we're not doing a dinner yet.
Re: What is your 7-8 month old eating?
Mine isn't quite 6.5 months, but she's been eating solids since she was 5 months old.
In total, she gets about 32 oz of formula and 4 oz of home made purees (over 2 meals).

He BFs 5x/per day. I don't know how many ounces.
DD just turned 8 mo. Her eating schedule is something like this:
Wake up - 8oz formula
3 hrs later - 7-8 oz puree / puree with cereal / meat diner puree
3 hrs later - 7-8 oz puree / puree with cereal / meat diner puree
3 hrs later - 8oz formula
3 hrs later - 8oz formula
This is all very fluid - so she may or may not hit exactly 3 hrs between meals - it totally depends on how long her naps are.
ETA:
we just started finger foods - shes still not 100% down with chunks...
