My husband just went this morning and mentioned that we are now scheduled to be induced. Right away our chiropractor was saying how he didn't agree with that, and that there is an increased risk of having a c-section, etc. We know those facts, but I'm pretty happy that the doctor wasn't skipping right to the c-section with my family's history of needing them.
I'm not sure at this stage in the game if I have the patience to start my day off with a lecture tomorrow morning. What would you do?

I don't think your family needing c-sections increases your chances of having one...
I wouldn't skip the chiro. because I've used all my "allowed" visits and would die to go back at this point. However, I can not advise you about what to do. My chiro. keeps lecturing DH about how vaccines are bad and you don't need to vaccinate your children. He never vaccinated his kids and they're fine, blah blah blah...I plan to vaccinate my kids. When he becomes my ped. I'll consider listening to him. If you can understand that sometimes Chiro.s can be very um...."holistic" then I'd say go and just brush him off, but if you wake up and you're already irritable don't bother.
Oh, my chiro keeps trying to convince DH that I don't need a CS, too. I totally respect what they do but as Chiropractors, not as pediatricians, not as OBs or anything else. After all, I wouldn't go to an allergist to have brain surgery.
Yes, I've gotten the book to read about vaccines too. Good information and I like to know both sides, but I'm sure that we'll be vaccinating too. My husband keeps making the same comments about the chiro not being an OB or pediatrician.
I agree. I know he means well, but I've been a little too short tempered lately to be up to dealing with this. I'm going to go, but hopefully it won't say much, and mostly I hope that he'll forget his conversation with my husband this morning.
