Hey girls! Some of you requested a review on Legoland, so I figured I would do it on here.
Before I start there are two things that definitely played a factor in everything:
1- It was raining 90% of the time we were there, so we didn't get to see everything as well as we wanted to.
2- It was a soft opening for AAA members, the park actually opens on the 15th.
We got there at around 9:30am, parked our car, got in the park. Everybody was very friendly and welcoming. We walked around the "toddler" area for a little bit (there are only a handful of things that toddlers can really do in this park). Abraham played in a barn area (not leggo related) that had some slides, he rode a little train, and him and I got to play inside an area where you shoot a soft ball and people with guns from the second floor down (it was really cool), but again, not for his age. I was the one shooting in there while he was handing me the ball because he didn't "get" it.
Everything says it's for children between the ages of 2-12 years old. I can see why they would say that, BUT in my opinion this park is perfect for 7 year olds. We actually went with my brother in laws (7 and 13), and our little cousin (8 yrs old). So we got to see everybody's experience. The 7 year old loved everything, he rode everything he could ride (some things were closed for a while because of the rain).
There are about 3 roller coasters that even the 13 year old was scared to ride (he's scared of coasters though, I would've totally ridden them, though). They have an entire area of places (Kennedy Space Center, South Beach, Washington DC, Las Vegas) built with Legos, which was amazing. They have a LOT of interactive things.
There's an area that the children can be firefighters and put out a fire, this is a team thing though that takes 4 people, so let's say your 5 year old wants to do it, as long as he or she is the right height, you, another adult and two children can ride the fire truck and do this (that would be the perfect scenario, in my opinion for that specific "ride"). Abraham was actually tall enough to do it and got in line with DH, but as they stood in line we realized that it was not good for Abraham's age.
There are a couple of shows, which are nice because that is good for all ages. The food is reasonably priced (there's one place where you can get a sausage hot dog, a cup of broccoli salad, and a drink for $6). The employees were raving about some apple fries, which we tried, they were okay, but nothing to come home and rave about.
You definitely have to be older to do most of the things in this park. Overall, the park is super cute and Abraham enjoyed it. We ended up getting free passes to go back because of the rain, so we'll be back. If it weren't for those, we would probably wait a couple of years to go back. For the price, I'd rather pay a little extra and take them to Disney World. Legoland is one of those places that you go to when you have older kids that can actually try to maneuver a little boat (they have those), a car on a little speedway (have that too). Or they can go on the roller coasters if they like that, they have fast ones with medium drops, or slower ones. Just don't expect "the Hulk" or "Sheikra". They really ARE made for tweens.
A couple of things that we didn't like: VERY limited covered areas. They used most of what was left over from Cypress Gardens (which by the way, they have an area called "Cypress Gardens" where you just walk around a garden). I guess that's why they didn't make more covered areas. But, last weekend it was pouring, we had to hide out inside stores and wait for the rain to stop in order to keep walking to the next area, and just PRAY that there was a covered area close to where we were going. So definitely, pack rain coats just in case (it IS Florida)! I guess that's the case with a lot of places- period. Not just Legoland, though.
Dh went to change Moses in the bathroom. M, of course, like any normal baby would, pulled the strap that you're supposed to use to strap them down, only to find a huge nail attached to the strap. Now, again, this was a soft opening, they were still fixing little things, painting little things, so we can't complain too much. But that is a little bit scary to see on a changing table! Nothing happened, obviously, dh saw it as soon as M pulled it out, but still, another parent could've been getting a wipe and not have noticed right away.
Sorry for all of the rambling, we went on Saturday, so I was trying to remember everything that we saw/did.
Again, cute park, I just would recommend it more for older kids. But obviously if you want to check it out and take your toddler, I'm sure they'll enjoy it, I just wouldn't necessarily recommend it for them. Definitely no kids under 2, though. Moses enjoys anything because he stares at his brother, but I'm sure the kid was bored out of his mind, lol. It's not visually enticing for an infant, like Disney. Also, HOTELS, we stayed in Polk County/Davenport (about 30min away from Legoland). There are a couple of Motels closer to Legoland, but I think it's either cheap motels or super expensive hotels. So if you don't mind the 30min drive, there are a lot of cheap, but nice, houses in the Davenport area (Regal Palms, Bahama Bay, etc.).
I think that's all!! Thanks for letting me share, I hope it helped! If you have any questions, ask!:)

Thanks! We were debating taking Andrew this month (3 in November) and our 6 month old to Legoland or WDW. I think we're heading to Disney now.
I told my DH that I was concerned there wouldn't be much we could ride as a family.
My Family is really big on Legos. We even went to Legoland in California for our Honeymoon and did that firefighter game/ride and it was hilarious!!
We are taking the boys in November for Sebastian's 6th birthday! I cant wait!
