Food Allergy

Intro

Hi ladies,

My name is Michelle. I am not a newbie to bump. I had an old user name that included my maiden name. I decided it was time to have a more discreet name. the new name is my favorite OPI nail color, incase you were wondering.

I am mommy to 19 month old twin boys, Carson and Oliver. Carson was diagnosed at 6 months and had a skin test at 18 months old to reveal several new food allergies. Oliver has not been diagnosed but at 18 months I removed dairy form his diet. We have seen big improvements on his diet.

  • hi! sorry to hear about the allergies! hope he outgrows them..

there are a few moms on here with twins and only one twin has allergies (Same as my DH's co-worker.. only one twin has sever food allergies).

    What are his allergies?

  • Carson is allergic to-

Wheat, Dairy, Eggs, Chicken, White Potatos, squash, and green beans. He can only have oats, rice, milk, tomato, and turkey once a day and not in the same sitting.

Oliver hasn't been diagonosed with any allergy. The only reason we removed diary from his diet was because he was such a bad eater. I knew he would be hungry but he would scream if you put food in front of him. Dairy makes me very bloaty. So I went on a limb and removed it from his diet. Now he eats like a champ.

sorry to hear about the lengthy list!

I would have him tested by an allergist.  I think knowing his allergies are a life savior!   and even if he's not allergic to some of the ones you listed you can still avoid, but in a different (non -scary) way.
