Pregnant matron of honor

Hi ladies! My due date will be in June of next year... my husband and I recently found out that I'm expecting!

My question is about a wedding I'm going to be the matron of honor for, next May. The wonderful bride is asking me to choose any dress I'd like as long as it's royal blue. I've got no idea how large I will be in the third trimester, but I'm starting out at average women's size 6, 5'3, 134lbs pre-pregnancy. I'm so excited to be in her wedding at the beginning of May, a month before my due date.

But where would be a good place for me to find a dress that will work for someone as round as I am likely to be at this stage of pregnancy??? Any and all ideas are welcome!

Congrats on ur pregnancy! Were expecting in June via surrogate.Id try david's bridal,I've seen some really nice classy Maternity gowns there when I bought my wedding gown.Gl and H&H 9months!

There are actually quite a few designers that carry a few of their styles in maternity, I would suggest either looking online (I'm pretty sure Mori Lee had some) or go to a bridal shop and talk to someone about it. Otherwise you could always order 2 sizes up, you will just have a lot of taking in to do:) My Matron of Honor was 8 months at my wedding!

I'll be 9 months at a wedding I'm in next May and she doesn't want us to order maternity dresses! I'm pretty stressed about that since I have NO idea how large I'll get.

I know that David's Bridal and Alfred Sung have a few maternity styles you may want to look into. Good luck! Glad to hear your bride is willing to work with you! Smile

I was 36 weeks at a wedding last year. I waited until the last possible minute to order my dress and got it 2 sizes larger than I was that day. I actually ended up having to take it in just a smidge but it fit great. I got it at Alfred Angelo. They have great maternity dresses.

I bought an infinity dress from Kate over the summer, and I LOVE it. I've worn it 3 times already.

I got her best satin fabric knee-length dress- base price was $145- with a butterfly hem (added some to the price) and I bought the tube-top ($30) for more options. The total was $200.

She was super easy to work with and it was a custom dress. Plus, I get to wear it for every occasion I can think of! It only took about two weeks to come in and it is absolutely perfect!

Congratulations! My little sister just got engaged and my first comment to her was "DON'T DO IT WHILE I'M FAT"! Luckily, she is waiting until early 2013
