Talk to me about Xanax

I have some really crazy things going on in my family right now, my grandpa has cancer, and now my uncle has cancer, both of whom I am close with. There are a few other doozies but those two are the most severe.

Anyway, I take something for anxiety, but I have moments lately where I feel I need something extra, temporarily. My Dr suggested Xanax.

    I LOVE Xanax.  I've been on it for years.  I take the XR version at night to help me sleep and the regular during the day, as needed.

    It can be REALLY addictive, so I always took it "as needed" and not regularly. 

    I can't take it while pregnant and have no problems stopping it.  I miss taking it when I've had enough and need to calm down, but I've never had any withdrawals or anything.

    I love the stuff.  I love that I don't have to take it if I don't need it.  I love that it works fast to calm me down.  I love that I don't have any side effects from it like weight gain or loss of sex drive.

    It's the perfect drug for me and my situation.

    all I can say is that when I needed it, I took it and it made a world of difference!!!
