When my sister and I are talking about having too much body hair, we refer to ourselves as Manielle (Danielle) and Nicholoas (Nicole). Manessa reminds me of Manielle...a very masculine woman.

I would actually prefer Menessa over Arabella. They're both pretty awful though IMO.

As a middle name, sure. I feel like middle names are where people should feel free to use a name that they like, but aren't sure about using them as a first name. It sounds to me like that's how you feel about Menessa.
I don't like this name; it reminds me of messes, or menses. Vanessa is much more dignified and attractive, I feel; Menessa just sounds clunky and made-up.
