HLG Tuesday

How did everyone do this week with exercise? What's your plan for this week?

Here are some exercises that can be done in 15 minutes. If anyone tries them out, let us know how it goes!

Re: HLG Tuesday

  • As I whined in yesterday's post, I did not keep my own promise to run 3 days last week. I ran Wednesday, and it felt really good, but because of the perpetual sinus headache I had for the next 3 days, I didn't feel good enough to run again until yesterday. Next run will be tomorrow, either outside, or if the rain is too nasty, on my parents' treadmill. Then, not again until Sunday morning because DH needs to ref a game on Saturday morning that he has to travel kind of far to get to. Now, if I can figure out how to get a strength training video I've been wanting to do into my schedule, I should be OK for the week.

  • I don't know if you guys know - and I can't remember if I was reminded of this by TwoTrue - but Time Warner cable has fitness on demand.  I have the 30 day shred DVD, but then I saw it is on Demand with a whole bunch of other workout videos!

I started 30 day shred a couple weeks ago and it is HARD!  The next day I felt like every inch of my body hurt.  I've done it prob 2-3x a week since (because the other days, I try to walk or run with our bike trailer), but it is really good.

As far as healthy eating, I am trying to have smaller portions and eat healthier.  I eat a high fiber breakfast too and it is a nice start to the day.  I had a bagel for breakfast the other morning and I actually felt like crap!

  • Anyone not a runner, not a member of a gym, and not own equipment? I am currently at the mercy of exercise TV....if you use it for your workout, what is your fav?

I do have wii games for exercise, and I do own Ripped in 30 but today I tried a kick boxing on E TV and it was so boring!

I am motivated to get in shape, hoping it will help my back! I also need to start eating better!

  • I went jogging the last two days and it felt great...not for too far, but it is a start.  I wanted to go tonight, but it was pitch black by the time the boys were in bed, so I will go tomorrow when DH gets home from work.  Hopefully the running/joggin bug has bit me again :)
