I had my scheduled c-section on Thursday, and it has been awesome since then! He is perfect, and the doctor was right that he was big! He weighed 9 lbs, 15 oz! His head circumference was 15.5 inches!
The c-section recovery has been surprisingly easy, with the help of ibuprofin every 8 hours. The spinal was the scariest part of the whole surgery, and the constipation is the worst part of the recovery.
Breastfeeding is pretty hard, and man do my nipples hurt!!! It is amazing though. I love when he looks up at me while he is latched on, there is NOTHING better than that.
My husband has been a freaking angel this whole time, and even cried when he was delivered. That is definitely something I will never forget.
So overall, this whole journey has been more worth it than I ever could have imagined, even if I haven?t hardly slept in 5 days. J
Re: My c-section went amazingly!
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

Congratulations and THANK YOU for posting this. It's nice to hear success stories sometimes and not always the horror stories. I am scheduled for a c-section on the 24th so this post is encouraging and helps alleviate some anxiety I've been having.
Oh man, the constipation was the worst!!! I imagine it as worse than giving birth vaginally with no epi. For those ladies who are having planned c-sections, start taking your stool softeners now and don't do what I did which was eat a nice big juicy steak 2 nights before you c-section. Yowsers!
Glad to hear you had a good experience. Mine was a good experience as well! And don't worry you're nipples won't hurt for long. You and your baby will get the hang of breastfeeding, there is definitely a learning curve for both of you!
I'm glad to help encourage! I was so terrified before and couldn't find any very positive stories, so I wish you all the best luck!!
