A little bit of progress, was hoping for more

Had my 39 week appt. today. Last week I was 1-2 cms dilated, 50% effaced, baby was at -2, this week I'm "definitely 2" and 70% effaced, baby is at -1. She also stripped my membranes.

I know that's technically progress but it just doesn't feel like much and I'm feeling discouraged. On top of my one yoga friend who was due 2 weeks after me and had her baby Sunday, the other girl from yoga who shared my EDD is in labor right now, and my other friend who shared my EDD that I posted the pic of awhile back had her son today. It was a scheduled C-section but still, I feel left out, even though I know I'm being silly as I haven't even gone past my EDD yet.

Okay sorry, whine over!

At my 39w appointment I was 2 cm and had my membranes stripped. Cora was born 2 days later. I would do a lot of walking tomorrow! Good luck!

FWIW for my bff when they stripped her membranes she went into labor that same night with 2 of her pregnancies. Smile

Oh hun, that is really good progress. Great in fact! You are almost completely effaced. Once you get to 100% labor should progress rapidly.

I was due on the 8th, and you're doing better than me! It's perfectly acceptable to want to meet LO as soon as you can, and to feel whiney. It's like waiting for every single childhood Christmas or birthday combined!

Take comfort in knowing that you made it this far so you can totally handle a few more days! She will be here so very soon! I know how hard it is though.. I had my guy 12 days past due and it does get frustrating! Hang in there!
