PIP your kids cute lunches here!
We've been out of the house a lot during lunchtime, running errands, having check-ups and flu shots, lots of shopping and getting ready for baby girl's arrival in one short month! So here are the only three cute lunches I made this week.
DD's favorite lunch of the week, and it was so simple! It's a little covered up, but you can see one of the apple slices has a checkerboard cut into it - it's easy to do and DD loves it. There are also some tomatoes on picks, leftover noodles and Parmesan cheese in the little penguin container, a box of raisins and a star marshmallow (untouched).
More leftovers. On the left, strawberries and cinnamon pita chips. On the right, leftover red beans and rice (untouched), noodles w/Parmesan, and some homemade apple dip (tasted like apple pie filling) for eating with the cinnamon pitas.
Ever have those days where your whole schedule is different, you look up at the clock and realize it's almost 2 p.m. and your child hasn't eaten lunch yet? Eeek! That was us yesterday, so I threw together this rather large lunch for DD and wasn't going to take a picture so she could start eating as fast as possible, but she insisted that I take a picture! So here's the under-5-minute lunch packed in a panda box. Sealed sandwich with some very unphotogenic snap peas, cupcake toppers for a face, apple slices, homemade orange dipping sauce for the apples and cinnamon pitas, box of raisins and Babybel cheese with a P cut out of the wax (for panda). DD ate all of it. Poor thing was hungry!
Post your cute lunches here! I know some of you are making them!
Re: *Cute lunch check-in*
I LOVE these posts.... they are so inspiring! I have done a few things here and there and now DS asks for a special snack with cookie cutters. Here are a few that I am brave enough to post:
This fall tree was made with a stick of celery covered with peanut/almond butter and for the leaves I used cheese, apples, carrots and dried mango.
Our house. Graham cracker house with a wafer cookie door and a raisin doorknob. Then a sun made with a clementine and dried apricot. And I used food safe markers to write DS's name.
DS loved both of these and ate every bite. Tonight at dinner he told DH about the house and even remembered the doorknob. I loved that!
