  • Eh, it makes sense that most people stick by their name choices.

    Once that baby is named (in most cases), that child "becomes" the name. So even if you're mad that your daughter is the 5th Sophia in her class, there's no changing the fact that, to you, she's 100% a Sophia.

    Most the time, I hear people complain that their child's name is too popular. They don't regret using the name---they just wish everyone else would've used something different.

  • I think that's pretty accurate. So far I'm the only person I know IRL who regrets a name, and I haven't heard people on here talking about regretting their child's name. It sucks to regret your own child's name. I strongly recommend choosing wisely! :)

  • My mom regrets my brother's name.  His first name is my dad's name and he has always gone by his middle.  My dad wanted to use his name and my mom felt it didn't flow right to use it as the middle name.  Now she wishes she would've named him the name he goes by.
