I just put my LO in his crib for a nap and he finally fought it but fell asleep at like 530pm. I usually do his night routine about 7pm and in bed 730/8pm. I worry that he'll think 530 pm is bedtime.
He will only nap in his crib so I have to put him there.
What do you do regarding late naps
Re: lets talk about late naps (after 5pm)
My LO takes a long (maybe 1.5-2 hours?), late nap just about every day, wakes up to eat, then will be awake for a few hours during which time she gets to play with her dad, take a bath, hear a story, take a bottle from her dad (I will be working nights, so trying to get her into a routine) and go down "for the night" between 8:30 and 10.
"Bed time" is variable depending on exact nap timing. She's sleeping hard right now and I have no clue when she'll wake up! Sorry that probably isn't much help, but basically, our bedtime and bedtime routine just run later based on her late napping.
This, too.
This exactly! LO is the same way. No late nap equals VERY rough to get to sleep and doesn't sleep good all night really.
