Will she go back to it?

My DD has had a cold for almost a week now...and two ear infections...but the stuffy nose caused her to not be able to suck on her paci. She refuses it now and even screams if I try to put it in her mouth. I wouldn't be so concerned but it use to soothe her to sleep so easily but now it takes forever to get her back to sleep with out it. She can breathe out of her nose now but still refuses it. Do you think she will ever go back to it? Do you think she is honestly scared of it...like she associates it with not breathing? Has this happen to you.....sorry for all the questions...I am so tired!

Re: Will she go back to it?

  • I don't wish my baby ill, but I wish that happened to us!  I am trying to limit the binky and eventually take it away, but he LOVES the damn thing.

She can't have it forever, just let her be done with it if she doesn't want it...

  • I was wondering that about breast feeding. My son bit me a few times and I made a reaction and he hasn't nursed since. That was about 2 weeks ago. I'm really disappointed about it as he only nursed at night as it was. Hopefully your little takes the paci back if that is what you want. Good luck
