New member here! 40w 3d and waiting...(+ bump PIP)

Hi all!

I'd like to introduce myself to this board, hopefully I'll be an active member when LO is born and I've lurked here for several weeks now before deciding to just set up an account. ::Waving HI to all the Oct mamas here::

My ticker is a bit off, I know. It wouldn't let me create one for the date in the past. LOL, oh well, close enough.I'm expecting a baby girl any time now...I'm planning for a natural-ish birth (pain meds if/as needed, I'm open minded but I'd rather go natural), FTM and I'll be a SAHM / Grad student writing my thesis. This was a fairly normal pregnancy, right on the charts at every visit, good health, energy etc. My back went out during our moving week at 28weeks and it was incredibly painful, but my chiropractor set me right and after a few visits I was right as rain. I fear my back going out during/after labor, that would suck.

I had a NST last Thurs at my OBs, they said LO's heart-rate was normal and scheduled an u/s for Wed to measure fluids etc., depending on the results we might wait longer or induce. Last Thurs I was 39w 5d, cervix closed, 50% effaced. BUT- baby had moved down 3" so she was starting to engage in the pelvis. No real contractions, just crampy pains at night, not horrid or regular and random BM-like pains throughout the day. I've been impatiently waiting, ugh. But I am psyched for the ultrasound tmrw, I haven't seen an image of my baby girl since the NT scan u/s at like 21w or whatever it was...she looked like a lil alien still! I'll update on any news tomorrow!!

Wish me luck, ladies!! And birth dust/full moon dust to all of you in my position that are past our dates and still waiting (as well as those full term, of course)!!
