Target Gift Card PSA

Not sure if anyone else has received this or not. I got a target registry catalog in the mail Saturday and it had a coupon for a free $20 gift card for starting a new registry. You just take the coupon and a printed copy of your registry to the store and they give you the gift card. It's only valid in store. Just thought you ladies would want to be on the lookout for this or even ask about it if you don't receive one.

I would make a registry just to get the gift card then. It's a free $20 and I'm sure you could put it to use.

Ooh - I wish I got one. If anyone has one they aren't going to use let me know - I haven't registered yet at Target!

If you still have the coupon, by all means, create a registry! We registered at BRU but I created a short registry at Target just so they would pay me $20!

Do you have to register in store in order to get the $20 or can you just start a registry online and bring a print out of it with the coupon to get it? Also, if you have registered at target in store, is the gift bag you are supposed to get any good?

i'm on the phone with them right now. apparently only 20% of registrants get this booklet. WTF?? so 80% aren't eligible for the coupons?? at this point i give up about the GC, but how is this a nifty idea to send out coupons to only 20% of the people registered?

i'm also asking where my email confirmation is that says the 20% online for the registry BS is that i've asked for on the phone, on FB, and via email is. no one can answer.

my response? 2 middle fingers for target. i'm so done with them.

I got one and am not even registered there. Very random.

i'm not going to even begin to try to figure it out. on hold now again with a supervisor this time. no one can answer anything. it's awesome.

i'm trying really hard to not take all of my frustration out on this guy, but good gosh almighty all i'm looking for is an answer to a couple very, very simple questions.

I heard about this awhile back and registered with them. I haven't gotten a thing...well, except horrible service!

The $20 gift card would be fabulous. But after dealing with their forever downed website and slimming baby selection I'm not sure it's worth it. Not to mention their horrible return policy!

i had so much trouble with my registry though Target, but I did get the $20 gift card which was a nice bonus.

does anyone know when they send out their "registry completion" discount coupon? i was hoping to get all my shopping done well before he's ready to come, but i heard they don't send it until just a few weeks before your due date??

I got the catalog and gift card offer in the mail last week and went Friday with my mom and created a registry there just because I wanted the gift card. I like some of the items there better and the price is better on other stuff so I just added it all. I used the gift card that day to buy some onesies on sale and some essentials for the diaper bag.

I have gotten nothing from them. No gift card no sorry for jacking up your registry code nothing. I got some coupons but nothing for gift card not so much a fan of them now. Oh well at least we are almost done buying. Come to think of it I never got the completion code with my DS either.
