As far as I know, the bump can't ban by IP address. The best thing to do is ignore her and hope she gets bored.

She and her known AE have been reported by several people.

ETA: Apparently they can't ban IPs which is bizarre. Hopefully, she'll go away, but if her intent was to creep people the eff out, s/he definitely succeeded on this board.

I'll be totally honest, I'm not as worried about people like "her" as I am about the people we don't know about. The Bump is a public message board. ANYONE can come on here and read what you type and see your pictures. It just comes down to internet safety.

Don't post personal information about yourself, don't trust just anyone, know that any pictures of information that you do post on here is public information and it can be used by other people. That's why a lot of people "watermark" their photos. Sure unless you watermark over your kids face people can still crop and do what they want with them, but it helps. Just be smart.

I've been on these message boards for 6 years and I have never been worried about someone coming to find me becuase I limit the amout of information I put on here. Just be smart and you will be fine.

This exactly! This is also why I never join the facebook groups that pop up. I don't want people to know my real name and location.

Exactly and until she breaks the TOS she can't get banned. If you notice, she hasn't been around today since yesterday's drama, at least not that I have seen. Maybe she finally got a clue.

Yeah, I guess my issue is I've always been on video gaming message boards prior to the knot and the bump, so in those types of boards, you expect everyone to be jackasses. Not giving people my address is a no brainer, but having people steal my kid's photo, watermarked or not, really does creep me out. I really like the bump for general information, anyways, so I'm not going to leave completely, I'm just going to stick to my comfort zone, lol.

I agree 1000%.....don't share something you don't feel comfortable with sharing in the first place and it should be just fine

I will have to go back and read it, but if they can't ban based on IP, I seriously don't think it matters at all if they ban her or not, she'll just keep getting back in here. Which is why I think we all need to be very careful what we share here. I have never been on a board that wouldn't/couldn't ban based on IP.

There are lots of people that have more than one SN on TB. AEs tend to come out when there is drama on a board. As far as I know it isn't against TOS, or she would have been banned a long time ago when this was originally brought up to the MODs

I just know that on the Nest, we've requested to have certain people banned by IP address and were told that it was not possible. I just assumed it was the same on the Bump. And you're right, if they can't or won't do that, then there is no point in banning her. Besides, it's better to have her use the screennames that you recognize.

I know she is probably loving all of this- do we make one last IGNORE HER stand? That seems to be the only thing that even remotely bothers her...

I know the post last night about the pictures was creepy, but I think she did it only because people started wondering if she was really a creepy old dude (I said it too, I will admit), and she is currently going with anything to get a rise out of people (and, it worked).

I think the best course of action is to seriously just ignore her. Don't mention her anymore, don't respond to anything she posts, etc- she will hopefully get bored and move on. It's annoying to see her respond to every single post like an idiot, but I think every time someone loses it enough to make a comment, it just validates what she's doing.
