First Day of Maternity Leave.....

....and I am soooo bored!  I did some cleaning, daytime tv sucks, walked my dog and now I am going to take a shower.  Everyone keeps telling me to rest and relax but it's just not in my nature.  Any suggestions on how to pass the time?

    This is the start of week two for me- been off since last Monday- and let me tell you, you'll get over the restlessness real soon! I was determined to keep busy at first too, and now I'm sleeping in and wandering the house in my underwear :)

    Buy a new book to read? Anything you can organize or clean? Go shopping or window shopping.  Meet a friend for lunch.

    I don't plan on taking my leave until my baby arrives, but I did stay home yesterday due to horrible lightning pains.  That was just one day and I thought I might die of boredom!  (I guess it didn't help that the pain kept me from getting up to do much)

    Find a new book to read.  Is your nursery complete?  Bake some cookies.  Crosswords always keep me amused for quite awhile. 

    I know a new baby will keep me busy (and exhausted), but I fear 8 weeks of misery.

    Mine started yesterday after my appointment. They're inducing on the 24th if I make it that long so I don't have more than 2 weeks at most... I spent yesterday organizing our filing cabinet. Today I'll be catching up on laundry and reorganizing our pantry.

    This is my second week on ML and I totally understand. I've cleaned, washed baby clothes, organized my closets etc and everyone tells me to rest but I sit down and then I guilty about wasting the day so I get up and start doing things around the house or jump on TB and facebook. I say read a book, online shopping, watch some movies and try to relax because everyone is right once the baby comes we won't have time to just sit around and rest. Plus we have to rest up for labor! Enjoy your time off we deserve it!

    I was in the same boat last week. Daytime TV sucks but my kindle is nice and I have cooked a ton.
