So the radio today was reporting that baby Lisa's mom is going to be arrested. I'd link but right now I'm on my phone and can't. I think good morning America has the story.
Yesterday they were saying that an itinerant handyman hadn't been seen since the abduction and they were looking for him. I wish I were a fly on the wall down there.

Oh and mom didn't mention the liquor store or the other man. Police found a receipt in the trash went to the store got the video and saw the sandy haired guy. And she's still married to her first husband who is currently working overseas.

None of which makes her a baby killer
Wait. Killer or kidnapper? I haven't been following the details.

Either one, but I seriously doubt that if she did do it, that baby is alive.
I will confess that I can't bring myself to follow any of the coverage because the idea that a baby could disappear from her crib would keep me up at night for...um...ever.
Yeah, I don't read any of it or watch the news stories. Sometimes I can't avoid it.

it does make her suspicious though..She told police that she put the baby down and then went to bed herself, when she was really out with some random man, who happens NOT to be her 1st husband or the man she lives with? and now this random man is missing? Its very suspicious. If she didn't have anything to hide, why did she lie in the first place?

No, but where was the baby during this time?
And that's the question that we all want answers to.

I'm not saying she is innocent, but none of what is posted above makes her guilty. Cheating =/= kidnapper. So what if she isn't divorced. The guy she is with doesn't seem to care, so why is it an issue? KWIM?
I'm firmly in the innocent until proven guilty camp, and I will not mentally convict the mom until there's a trial. But I also believe (and desperately hope) that the police know more than the media does.
Of course they do. They never release all the info to the media.
And this is my point, not telling the truth about a trip to the liquor store doesn't mean she took the baby. I'm going with it means she didn't want to get caught cheating, if that is really what was happening.
so many things are making her look like a suspect. I am trying to just think that maybe someone else did take her and the baby is still ok.

^And that could very well be why she failed the polygraph test.

Getting caught cheating would be the LAST thing on my mind if my daughter is missing. She lied to the police, if it was no big deal...why lie? I think she is hiding something.
The problem that I see is that there are so many inconsistencies in her story. And it's highly unlikely she's kidnapped her own child. Not to say that things like baby selling don't happen, but people kidnap their own children to get them away from their SO's, and they run. They don't kidnap their children and stay. Their children die (accidentally and it's covered up, or deliberately and they hide it).
So unless she gave away or sold her child (baby Gabriel, anyone?), if she is involved directly, that little girl is probably dead.
Is it possible that she left the kids, went for a quick run to the liquor store and came back to find her child gone? Sure. It's possible that she didn't even notice until her SO came home and discovered it (ie, she thinks the baby is in there, baby is quiet, and she doesn't check more closely than that). It would explain her lie detector failure and her complete distraught air (which seems genuine to me).

Thats what I think went down. It would explain why she seemed to be hiding something, she left the baby alone in the house.

She's obviously hiding things, I don't think anyone disagrees with that. Whether or not that makes her guilty of murdering her child has yet to be proven. And if she's involved, that little girl is dead. I can think of no likely scenario in which she is hiding the child, safe and sound, somewhere.
That being said, I agree that being caught cheating -eta: and not only cheating, but accused of negligence in leaving the child alone - would be the very least of my worries if my child was gone. I would want her home, regardless of the consequences to me. Innocent people tend to be forthcoming and totally honest. The lying is going to keep police attention on her, period.
Again, that's not "proof," and as PP said, there's probably more going on that the police are not sharing, if she's been formally arrested. At least, I would hope so for the sake of any forthcoming criminal case against her.
I agree, think you for putting it into words better than I could!

I was piecing it together along those lines, although I was thinking a terrible accident and she's covering it up.
Yes, absolutely that is possible. It would explain the attention they are paying to the drainage ditch. It was something I said to my husband earlier - could a near-11-month-old climb out of her crib? Certainly if she weren't around, there are things that could have happened. And if she was with a man, it's possible he took the phones and the body in an attempt to cover up an accidental death. (I'm not clear on whether or not they know the man she was with in the liquor store.)
I would hope, though, that she wouldn't drag the baby's father and the other children through that just to try and cover up an accident, though. Of course it is possible, but how cruel.

I agree, but people tend to lie when they think they are going to get caught at something. It happens all the time (Clinton/ Lewinski anyone?). Its not the action that get them in trouble, its the coverup. Now, obviously this is a more serious situation, but I'm guessing that something happened, which may or may not have been intentional and the coverup starts. Maybe she left the baby with the boys and ran out to get some booze. The balls starts rolling from there. She doesn't want to admit to the neglegence, so she says the baby was just gone.
Or maybe she's telling the truth and the baby was really gone. IDK, but the whole thing is awful.

The police have not said they are going to arrest her.
It was her sister saying that the police have to "pin it on someone", and the sister saying the police would probably arrest the mother.
The police have said their priority is finding the baby, not pinning someone for the crime.
