I know that babies "technically" don't need shoes until they start walking, but if you live in a cold climate, are you buying shoes to keep their feet warm when you go out?
I got Liam his first pair of shoes and just bought the ones that said 6-9 months at WalMart, and his little feet are so *thick* that I'm wondering if they're going to be too uncomfortable for him. There's plenty of room at the ends, so that's not the issue. I really don't want to buy something crazy expensive like baby Nikes or whatever, either.
This is a pic from back in May where you can see one of his feet. Does anyone else's baby have really thick, wide feet? If so, what are you doing shoe-wise?
TIA!
Re: Shoes for *fat* baby feet?

i know they arent shoes but they are warm. isabella has thin small feet but she has extra baby toes on each foot. so i needed a shoe that is easy to put on her so her extras dont get bent back., hope it helps

Thanks so much, everyone! I'd never heard of Robeez before (but I do know Stride Rite). It looks like what I got him was the WalMart version of this shoe:

They're really stretchy, so I think they're going to be okay. Getting them on the first time wasn't easy, though!
One of my friends (who is a shoe designer for Nike and does measurements of NBA players' feet to custom make their shoes) made a huge deal out of Liam's feet. He was all, "Wow. Liam's going to be a monster when he grows up! Look at these feet!" so I got to worrying if these regular shoes were going to work. I guess all babies in my family must have "monster feet" because I thought all babies did. Oops. Anyway, thanks again!
