Hi ladies, just lookin for some advice. My heartburn is out of control. I used to take TUMS, but recently they have been making me vomit. I have been downing water and milk which helps at the time, but no long relief. Any suggestions???
Talk to your doctor first, but mine told me to take Zantac. It works like a charm! I also avoid ALL tomatoes, onions, and other heartburn causing foods.
? I married my best friend on 6/6/09! ?
? BFP on 6/6/11! ?
? EDD for Baby Girl, 2/10/12! ?
There are directions for Heartburn relief on the back of baking soda boxes, but check with your doctor first if you are watching your sodium intake. It tastes terrible, but it works.
Zantac. I'm taking 75 mg so that I can take it 2x a day if I need it. Just call your OB to make sure s/he is ok with it, mine had no problem with it. And, try to avoid acidic and greasy foods.
I'm very anti-drug while pregnant, so I usually just deal with it. Don't eat anything acidic or spicy. When it comes on, take a few TUMS and drink some milk to help balance it out. If you do the TUMS with the milk, it should help keeping you from vomitting. Things like saltines and stuff have always helped me too.
