This is going to sound bad but I'm looking for a location for dd's 1st birthday party that allows alcohol. Just wine or punch, not talking like bottles of hard liquor lol.
The Historic Streetcar Station would have been PERFECT because the older kids could just go out and play in the snow, but they don't allow alcohol. So if anybody know something comparable to that, that would be awesome. If I can't find anywhere else though we'll probably do the Station but I thought I'd ask.
*Really hoping this isn't making me look like an alcoholic lol*
Re: 1st birthday locations?
We had my girls' first birthday at a local park that had a building (Random park in Mounds View). It included a kitchenette (no stove or oven, but plenty of counter space and plug ins for crock pots) It was heated and air conditioned and had plenty of tables and chairs with lots of space, and a park right outside. It was $35 to rent for 4 hours or $70 for the whole day, and I believe they had an alcohol permit you could purchase for $25. Many cities offer a discount to residents, so check with your local park board to see what they offer.
P.S. We had a few folks in attendance that we couldn't trust to limit themselves with alcohol around children - but if that wasn't the case, I totally would have offered some adult beverages
