Mastitis Q

Can I get it without a clogged duct or hard spot? I have the redness, flu symptoms, itchyness where it is red but no hardness, engorgment. Oh god I hope this is just the flu.

Both times I had mastitis I didn't have hardness or engorgement. I have never heard of itchiness though.

I have never seen it mentioned but I have gotten it in the past when I had mastitis. I have a call into my Dr to see if they will call in a antibiotic. I really hope I don't get thrush. Yuck

Yep...this was me too. I didn't have any engorgement or lumps but I did have a small red spot. My fever went up REALLY fast and I felt like I'd been hit by a semi truck, but as soon as I got meds in my system I felt better.
