Do you have a set routine (jobs/rooms on certain days)? I have totally slacked this last week being sick, and thought maybe a set schedule would be easiest on me.

Yes, I do. If I didn't, I wouldn't get the house clean. I listed out all my weekly chores and then split them up as evenly as I could based on what other things I have going on that day. Like I babysit a 14 month old on Thursdays and Fridays, so I have very few chores on those days.

TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.
Funny you mentioned it! I've been totally slacking the past month and just printed this out last Friday! So far, I've stuck with it, but we're only 4 days in...
I've tried off and on to jump on the Flylady bandwagon and have had a really clean house each time I've stuck with it. And life got much more organized and smoother in general with the suggested routines. But then my lazy side gets the better of me and I go back to my messy chaos. Until I can stand it no longer and I turn on her emails again.
If you're interested, flylady.org has all the info. She sends you a billion emails a day nagging you to do things like plan ahead and declutter, and also assigns a room a week for deep cleaning.
Disclaimer: she's not for everyone. She's Christian and some emails have religious messages. And she nags you CONSTANTLY. But somehow having a crazy lady who looks like a fairy godmother (at least in my head) nagging me works wonders.
I don't. I usually end up tidying up every single day...ugh! Yesterday I deep cleaned upstairs. It was hard even getting it done with the kids being out of control and then since I don't do it often enough it was so bad. The dust bunnies from under the bed where just darn right scary! I'll have to make a schedule...or just hire someone!
If by schedule you mean running around before bed doing laundry, dishes and picking up messes, and then devoting Sunday afternoon to vacuuming, changing sheets/towels and more laundry, then yes I have a schedule.
Since I'm at work four days a week, those four days are just survival mode - dishes, big messes, laundry that we absolutely need. For me it's easier to have one day for the big stuff - full house vacuum, changing linens. That way I can keep track of what needs what.
