Calling Daycare Moms

DD has been getting alot of colds being in daycare (I know this is normal) but what do you do to try and protect yourself from these colds.  This is my third cold so far and it really stinks not feeling well and having to take care of LO.  I never thought my immune system was that low.

Any suggestions?

TIA-

Re: Calling Daycare Moms

  • Sorry, I wish I could help.

I never get sick.  Now I'm completely congested after catching a horrible cold from baby. :-(  I'm pretty miserable about it too.

I even wash and disinfect my hands constantly as a result of working in healthcare, so it's not like I'm failing in that department.  Not sure what else to do.

  • Are you taking pre-natal / multivitamins? Maybe that will help. Vitamin C is good for immunity, but doesn't really do much good once you get sick (only helps prevent it ahead of time.
  • Ugh I have gotten the worst colds since she started daycare. I am always way sick way longer than she is. I take my prenatal vitamin, try to keep her hands off my face and my hands off my face and that helps.

  • I always feel like that Airborne stuff helps.  If it doesn't help, it tastes good anyways!
