My LO has super sensitive skin - we cloth diaper not only by choice but because disposables give him a rash pretty quickly. Now he's in daycare from 8-5 and they're willing to use cloth. He arrives with no rash, by lunch when my DH goes in and hangs out he's got a rash. We usually give him a shower and let him air dry when he gets home and the rash gets better pretty quick. By morning he's rash-free (or nearly so) again. they use our wipes at daycare but they're using A&D ointment to help with the rash - I'm convinced that may be the culprit (or maybe because he's in a swing with the diaper pushed up against him - is that even possible?!)
so what I need is a suggestion for a cloth friendly, sensitive skin friendly butt cream for them to use.
Re: butt cream for sensitive hineys...
Beudreaux's Butt Paste. My Brother and SIL swore by it.l
Also, it could be a yeast infection rather than diaper rash.
Is he allergic to the detergent that you use to wash the diapers in? It could be that the wet diaper is causing the detergent left in the diaper to be released and his little bottom is reacting to that.

we sent a few of our pre-folds (vs. AIO's) yesterday and the culprit is the diapers - so now I'll research how to strip them and see if there's something in the diaper irritating him or if it's just the texture (they're rougher than the Motherease diapers we use at home). The daycare is willing to try the MotherEase diapers even though they're an extra step (I was trying to keep it super simple since they were being accomodating about the cloth in the first place).
Thank you everyone for the suggestions - I will be trying some of them in case rashes come up in the future (they will - this poor baby has my super sensitive skin...)
