Follow-up ~ need advice

My LO is turning 1 yrs old so we have to follow-up with the allergist. At 3 mos, he was diagnosed with an allergy to milk, soy & cats via skin test only and put on Neocate. He's done great on the Neocate. Since then he has reacte to coconut, oat & blueberries. Any advice for when I go? I am going to ask them to do a blood test so we can know levels of severity.

    definitely a blood test.  Plus being able to compare the blood test results to the skin test results could show you if you had a false positive/negative.

    I would get him tested as soon as you can.  You will probably have his one year wellness check with his pedi also.. if so, have them use the same blood so he doesn't have to draw blood twice.  that's what we did. 

    my allergist sent us to a lab to get blood drawn and they couldn't find his vein (they poked him about 10 times before i screamed ENOUGH and left).. i went to my pedi and she was able to draw blood imminently and used that same blood for his one year check up.

    Thanks! I'll keep you both posted. He didn't get blood drawn at his 1 yr check, which was today. What did they test for at the ped?
