Amazing. I'm sure that she is being criticized for it, and it's more exercise (way more!) than I was comfortable doing while pregnant - but I bet her and baby are more healthy than many who use pregnancy as an excuse to do nothing!
I'm sure people are criticizing her, but she has run 8 marathons before and 2 while pregnant. She added 2 hours to her non-pregnant run time and ran almost every day of her pregnancy. Clearly she was in shape for it...and clearly she is wonder woman!
I've ran a marathon before, but I couldn't imagine running one while pregnant. I made it to about 25 weeks before I stopped running and switched to walking/waddling.

good for you. I used to run, but I was not running immediately prior to getting pregnant, so I didn't feel I should take it back up once I was. I did, however, hike in the mountains most weekends of my pregnancy and I did have one incident of a woman glaring at me and then telling me to be careful (not in a friendly way!).
I don't care what anybody says...that's freakin awesome. I bet her body is going to be back to tip top shape in no time too (obvioulsy, it already is!). Wish it were me!
I think its incredibly selfish. I'm probably in the minority but there is no way she could have safely kept track of hydration levels and heart rate. It isn't just about her at that point. Things could have gone very wrong very quickly. She's run marathons before, she could run them after she birthed her baby.

1.False. Already being a trained endurance athlete means she was damn well able to keep track of these things. Its NOT that hard to keep those things in check when its done the right way. Regardless, I am sure her doctor gave her clearance to do this. No place to judge here!
2. Shes a runner. Runners don't just stop running. Again, if her doctor gave his/her blessing- have at it.

She is just awesome and I hate that people will criticize her. I'm
sure she talked with her doctor and he gave her the "go ahead" based on
her being an avid runner and healthy during pregnancy.
As someone who runs marathons, I'm sure she is very aware of her body.
What I find so disturbing is that people will criticize someone who runs during pregnancy, but wouldn't dare criticize someone who sits on their a** and eats crap.

This. And she's a great example for her children how to be healthy!

She sure could have. There's a poster SFAug07 who has run marathons while pregnant. If she's a seasoned runner, she certainly knows how to listen to her body. I'm sure she had her doctor's blessing and monitored herself closely.
It's not hard to pick up water/Gatorade at every aid station, eat along the way, and wear a heart rate monitor.
Fair enough. I didn't type it but I was also including the baby's heart rate and health as well.

I've heard that baby's heart rates benefit from exercise in the womb - I'd be more worried about babies born to moms who do nothing for their health during pregnancy. I bet this baby is healthy now and grows up to be a healthy, fit kid and adult.
