I always feel like bath time should take longer than it does, but there's only so much to wash and I don't want to get him to riled up before bed time! How long does it normally take to give your LOs baths?
From set-up to change/dry probably 20 minutes. The actual bath itself is probably 5-6 minutes. I am enjoying the quick bath know because I know at some point she'll want to stay in there and play.
I must be in the minority. LO loves bathtime, so we usually take about 20 minutes start to finish. He would do more too. It really depends on his mood though. If he's grouchy, it's all business.
Glad to know I'm not the only one that's all business. I know we can't really play with LOs in the tub yet, but I just always feel so clinical when I give him a bath. It ends up taking about 2-3 songs (we listen to music while getting a bath!)
He's usually in there about 10 minutes. It only takes about 5 minutes to get him clean and wash his hair, but he does like to stay in there a few extra minutes to kick and splash around. He LOVES it!
For those who do a longer bath, what do you do with them? I try and give her toys, but she's not into them yet...other than to put them in her mouth. I sing a song or two...but that gets old quick. And she doesn't really splash on her own yet. I try showing her how to splash, but haven't gotten anywhere with that yet!

This is us too! We play for 10-15min and then I wash her in about 5 minutes. She goes nuts kicking and splashing... it's actuall pretty cute cause she will wear herself out and then stop and have to catch her breath.
I can do it in 5 minutes or less (if we missed a bath night and he needs it in morning and we have plans), but I usually stretch it out to 15-20 minutes. Even if he is super crabby, he just cannot resist the tub. I joke with DH that he will come home from work one day and ask why DS is so wrinkly. I sing, I "help" him do the "Bathy-Pokey" as I bath that part "and you splash it all around..." He is enjoying kicking and splashing his legs too since I stopped using the sling in the baby tub. Sometimes he will just lay back and veg.

LO loves to lay in his tub and kick. He gets so excited. We've tried putting a rubber duck on his chest but he's not real interested. He may be 15 lbs but his kicks move a ton of water!!!!!
10-15 mins max. Its more fun for mommy and daddy, because DS likes to splash and soaked me. Fun times! Lol. I usually leave him in there until he starts rubbing his eyes/ears or starts whining.
No one else will ever know the strength of my LOVE for you. After all, you're the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside <br>

Just a couple of minutes. Tack on another minute if I wash her hair (I don't do that every day). I feel like I should draw it out a little more because she actually likes it.

probably 10-15 mins. Just 5 for the washing and then playing the rest. She sits in a mesh sling in our big bathtub and loves to kick and flail her arms, eat her washcloth on her belly, and drip water over her and she stares at it, she eats her little foam numbers, stuff like that.
Molly takes a bath every night (we only use soap a few times a week though, except on her parts.. we wash those each night). Usually I bathe with her and it is close to 15 minutes. If she is bathing by herself it is about seven to ten minutes.
Usually around 15 minutes. He loves to kick his rubber duckie and read some little bath books.
A kind-of related bath question: Is everyone using soap on their LOs? Our pedi says its not neccessary at this stage so we usually just use water (unless there's been an exceptional poop incident).

IDK if you ladies can see the FB vids.
If you have a Bumbo, try bathtime with the Bumbo.
I did it with DD1. Just make sure your Bumbo doesn't have any holes in the bottom of it or else it will retain water.
This.
