I need birthday cake help!

As the bump likes to remind me every time I log in, Carter's birthday is fast approaching. He decided on Toy Story for his "theme." We will only be doing a small family party and the cake is just for him while everyone else gets cupcakes. I was thinking about just cutting stars and writing sheriff on them along with rockets out of fondant but is that too lame? Help!

I was just going to say you could do a small individual cake like the aliens. Or frost it a light blue and add figurines to the top.
