If you're new, let us know the basics - when did you start TTC, what is your diagnosis/suspicion, where are you at in the process/next steps? Please let us know if you have upcoming treatments, so we can check in with you on a more regular basis during that time. Also read this check-in often the first week it is posted so we can answer everyone's questions. (It seems prolonged to have someone ask a question in this post and not have it answered until next month's check-in!) Finally, if you have suggestions about what else should be included in the check-in or changes, throw them out there!

Questions:
1) Where are you at in the process/what is your next step?
2) What are you doing fun this month that is non-IF related?
3) Any vents/confessions?
4) Any questions you'd like to ask the other ladies?
Re: October Infertility Check-in (SAIFW)
Questions:
1) Where are you at in the process/what is your next step? Still in a holding pattern. We're making good progress on getting our finances in order. I think that sometime in 2012 we'll make an IF move.
2) What are you doing fun this month that is non-IF related? I'm running the Portland Marathon next weekend, but I wouldn't necessarily call that "fun."
3) Any vents/confessions? I have never been to a baby shower and I really want to go to one (which I understand is opposite of most people dealing with IF). My few Washingtonian friends that have had babies have had their showers on days that I couldn't attend. And I can't attend any of the showers for my closest friends on the East Coast because of the travel expenses.
4) Any questions you'd like to ask the other ladies? Anyone interested in a GTG, possibly in mid-November?
1) Where are you at in the process/what is your next step?
FET is tentatively scheduled for November 10th. We are going to transfer two this time. If this doesn't work, we will probably take some time off and try the old fashioned way for 6 months or so. Then think about another fresh cycle.
2) What are you doing fun this month that is non-IF related?
I'm going to DC for two weeks. It's actually for work, but I think it should be fun. I get a free weekend, and hope to go check out some of the museums.
3) Any vents/confessions?
While I will be upset if this FET doesn't work, I don't think I will be devastated. I'm tired. I'm kind of looking forward to some time away from all this. I need a break.
KRose--If I ever get to have a baby shower, you are totally going to be invited.
And I would love to have a GTG. November is a good month for me. We have no travel plans until Christmas.

Questions:
1) Where are you at in the process/what is your next step?
Still tracking my HCG down to 0 - it was 29 on 9/22 but I don't know last week's number yet. However, I did get my 1st period post miscarriage. Since it was a normal miscarriage we only have to wait 1 cycle which I guess just happened.
I guess we are probably in the officially TTC#2 category. I can't chart because of nighttime wakings, but I'll probably pay a bit more attention to timing now. I am a bit more hopeful of conceiving without intervention, which is good, since I can't go back to the RE till we stop nursing which I feel is going to go on for a while.
2) What are you doing fun this month that is non-IF related?
We went to Suncadia last weekend, going to the Sounders game tomorrow, my birthday Wednesday, then lots of birthday parties for E's friends.
3) Any vents/confessions?
i'm tired all the time...
4) Any questions you'd like to ask the other ladies?
Anyone know if you can ovulate when HCG isn't 0? I had a period but wondering if I am really ovulating yet post-miscarriage if my HCG isn't down to 0.
I'd be up for a get together.
2) What are you doing fun this month that is non-IF related? Oh man, October really starts our holiday season. We are going to the pumpkin patch this weekend, our anniversary is on the 23rd and I really hope James plans something great like he did last year. I'm going to buy a new dress just in case.
And then Tman is going to be Darth Vader for Halloween and he's super excited.
3) Any vents/confessions? Confession - I am glad we are doing the clomid, but I honestly have no hope that it will actually work. I just feel like this gives us a tiny bit extra chance for the next 6 months and then we are back to no help/answers.
4) Any questions you'd like to ask the other ladies? Did Clomid mess up your temps? Mine were all over the place, and my chart confuses me.
TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.
Questions:
1) Where are you at in the process/what is your next step? 24 weeks PG with IVF #1
2) What are you doing fun this month that is non-IF related? So much: Birthdays galor and Halloween!
3) Any vents/confessions? We now have to make the decision on what to do with our frozen Embies. A good problem to have I know but we aren't sure what to do!
4) Any questions you'd like to ask the other ladies?
I'll happily take a look at your FF chart! I'm a member on the boards there as well. I used FF religiously when we were trying with Endo., DOR and PCOS.

Hi There! I would like to be added to this check-in, especially since I am gearing up for major treatments this month!
when did you start TTC?
5/2010
what is your diagnosis/suspicion
stage II endo, AMA
where are you at in the process/next steps?
I got into a clinical trial for IVF, which is going to save me on the order of 6k. Starting lupron this Thursday (10/6)! Hope to be stimming by 10/15.
Questions:
1) Where are you at in the process/what is your next step?
I have been in a treatment holding pattern for the last 5 months after my laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and hoping for an au naturale miracle. Did not happen, and found out about a clinical trial, so I went all in, and it all happened very quickly. My head is kind of spinning.
2) What are you doing fun this month that is non-IF related?
Not much. Kind of resting up for the upcoming crazy time/injections/etc. Oh, and I am starting a new job pretty much at the same time as all this.
3) Any vents/confessions?
None right now...
4) Any questions you'd like to ask the other ladies?
I am wondering how I am going to get through all these injections and hormones-- I am sure I can do it, but I would love some advice about how to handle all this stuff, especially how to keep calm while at work.
IVF #1 ET 1 d3 embryo 10/30/11 BFP
3 Embryos frozen (1 d5, 2 d6)
DS born 07/29/12
FET #1 ET 1 d5 embryo 02/10/15 BFN
FET #2 1 d6 embryo didn't survive thaw, transferred last d6. CP
I actually didn't have much trouble with side effects from the inejctions. Clomid was so much worse. The only problem I had was bloating, which was miserable. I wore a lot of dresses and skirts once we got close to ER, and for about a week afterwards.
I actually found the structure of the injection schedule really helped me through it all. It was a lot: lupron every morning, gonal-f and luveris every evening with a collection of pills during the day, but it kept me occupied and gave me something to focus on as we got closer to the big day. It's completely overwhelming at the beginning, but when you take it one day at a time, it's not bad at all. And it all goes by so quickly, you won't have much time to think about it.

2) What are you doing fun this month that is non-IF related? Try to keep unpacking and decorating our new house. Convinced Dh to hire a landscape design and install company. Excited for LO 3rd Halloween, one he might actually understand and remember.
3) Any vents/confessions? DH-seriuosly you get to take a day off when you get a cold and i wait in you, you can take a nap, ect...i get a cold and if i want to eat anything besides mac n cheese, i have to cook it myself, and clean the kitchen, and laundry... ARG!
4) Any questions you'd like to ask the other ladies? What to do with my toddler while going thru my IVF cycle?
The clinical trial is possibly still enrolling-- though not sure how many more they will try to screen as they are having a 75% failure rate due to strict AMH restest levels(AMH must test for the study between 1 and 3). If you would like more info, pm me and I can give you contact information. If they are still enrolling, it would have to be for a pretty much immediate IVF cycle, so keep that in mind too.

Thank you for the tips and words of advice, tst. I am sitting here still at work, and contemplating my first Lupron injection. Should be interesting... I think the injecting part will be fine. I am getting more zen about it as I go along.
I am also going to continue with my acu, which is going to help my zen attitude. I get to go tomorrow morning to get stuck with more needles and to figure out my TCM schedule!

I missed the September check-in, but... Can you move me to the "success stories" section? We got a (VERY) surprising BFP while saving up for IVF.
1) Where are you at in the process/what is your next step? 8 weeks pregnant with our surprise non-treatment baby2) What are you doing fun this month that is non-IF related? Hopefully making our annual trip to Bob's Corn Maze in Snohomish!3) Any vents/confessions? Worry plagues me constantly. I want to be excited and enjoy this, but IF took some of the sparkle out of pregnancy.4) Any questions you'd like to ask the other ladies?
I was thinking about you the other day and wondering where you had disappeared to! Congrats!!
