Sid the Science Kid

Does anyone else's DC like this show?  DD loves it!  She can tell me all about the digestive system, how lungs works, what elasticity is, etc. from watching this show.  We were at Target the other day and she saw a skeleton costume and was looking at it and then said,  "There's no digestive system on it!  I want to wear a digestive system costume for Halloween."  The lady behind me cracked up laughing.

    I really like it - DS was into for a little bit but now he is more of a curios george fan.

    my DD is a self proclaimed 'science kid' ~ she is ALL OVER science and loves it.

    Go to the pbs website there are a lot of fun science activities to do in conjunction with the shows. there are also a LOT of great science books out there with great and easy activities.

    good ideas! Dd is not into it as much, but then it could be we don't see it as much as some of the other pbs shows (mostly dino train)

    The kiddos get to watch tv while I shower, which is after I work out. So pretty much the same time everyday.

    Upon hearing the theme song to Sid the Science Kid DH made up his own lyrics that are totally inappropriate for little ears.

    I get the Sid theme song when the boys are awake AND when they're asleep now!

     

    Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
    Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

    DS loves it....especially in the beginning when Sid sometimes kicks his inflatable penguin over.  He cracks up every time.  I wish he would pick up on the science instead!

    Great story!

    My daughter is a Sid fan, too.  We have several recorded episodes for her on DVR; I think Sid is a close second to "The Fresh Beat Band"--and that's saying ALOT!
