XP from 3-6mo board, I thought you momma's might have more experience buying/using these car seats....
My 4mo old twins are growing quickly, well mainly DS who is already past 25in long and going to be out of his Graco SnugRide (22lb/27in max) before I know it. I'm thinking we'll at least need to move him to a convertible sooner than DD. He is going to start to be too long and uncomfortable for much time in the SnugRide.
Recommendations for convertibles? Is it better to get one that goes up to 50/70lbs so you just have the 1 seat? Or does that not matter and you'll be ready to switch to a booster or something by that time anyways? I have been looking at the Britax models online and not sure what the difference is with a few of them other than weights. I'm thinking of looking at Buy Buy Baby to feel the padding and look at sizes first and then find an online sale. All the 2010's are starting to be clearanced and I want to score a deal!
Any thoughts/advice for me? TIA!
Re: XP: Recommend your convertible car seat!
We have Evenflo Symphony 65s. I liked the idea of not having to buy another car seat. Plus my guys are tall as well, they were in their convertibles at around 5ish months.
I like the easy front adjustments, side impact rating and pads and I can get by them in the van to get to the back row. It will be even better when they are more up and down, they are still reclined all the way currently.
We have the Britax Advocate, it's got the best side impact rating, but it's huge. I'm not sure you'd be able to fit two in your car when they are rear facing. Check that out at BRU or someplace before you buy this seat.
FYI - Amazon seems to have the best prices for Britax.
