She proudly told me she washed her son's mouth out with soap. I guess 2&1/2 is a good age to start. Apparently her told her to f-off

Perhaps you wouldn't "need" to wash his mouth out with soap if you and BF didn't tell each other to f-off in front of him.

Pretty sure you "parenting" skills need some tweaking, or maybe a whole freaking overhaul!

    That's pretty sad that the kid is getting soap in his mouth for something he was obviously taught by them.

    this.  How sad!  What was your response to her?

    I asked her where he learned to say that. She said BF had a problem with it but 'we are getting better'. I just finished with 'wow...' which she clearly thought was directed at what her son had said, not her disgusting solution.

    Wow.  I really hate it when people play the "you're a bad parent if you..." card, but I think I'll make an exception here.  That poor kid.  :(
