Crazy neighbor at it again!!!
So I posted on here last week about my "kindly" old crazy neighbor! Well i think she has totally lost it!! She put a note on my door that reads:
To whom it may concern,
You should know that your lesbian friend has had her girlfriend over when your not here. I dont know if you know it but she is GAY( and this was capitalized) and to have her around your son should be a crime. She is going to turn your son gay and he's going to go to hell as are you for being around that kind of people. Your an unfit mother and i plan on calling CPS and telling them all about that queer staying with you.
Ok first of all i know it was my neighbor because my bestie and her girlfriend were driving up and saw her tape this POS on our door. Second, REALLY you crazy BIATCH!!! I dont even know where to start with this. We've been besties since 15. She is my sister. She wants to go over there and scare the crap out of by touching her and saying "now your GAY welcome to the club"!!! But this crazy would probably call the cops!! This was just about 30 minutes ago and i want to put a note on her door but im so mad in shaking!!! Come on girls help me out with ideas of what to put?!? And what should i do with the note? is there anything i can do legally??

I had a neighbor in Ca that sent us a letter in the mail that said she knew what went on in our house and how "HE" beats me and how we argue loudly. She also said she knew what we did for a living and it was wrong. None of the above happened, which is funny as hell.
I called the cops. HHAHAHAAH. It sure made his day, laughable that is.
He pretty much said there was nothing really we could do and she was probably crazy.
Holy crap! People are so, so, so stupid!! I'm not even gay and I'm offended by this! There's no way in hell I would leave a note on her door. I would go over and yell at her face-to-face. That is total crap and she needs a wake-up call. I don't even know what I would say, and knowing me, I would probably sound like a blubbering idiot because when I get so mad, I can't even talk straight. But I would probably say something like, "You are so ignorant! First of all, CPS wouldn't do ANYTHING about it, so you would be wasting your time anyway. Second, do you have nothing better to do?! It's people like you who make this world a crappy place...."
As soon as my bestie walked in she was ranting about something. i was asking her whats wrong and she just went into her room. Her GF gave me the note and now shes playing with little man so he's preoccupied and away from the situation.
I really just want to go over there and scream at her!!! My bestie wants to tell her that we are all lesbians in this apartment and we are brainwashing little man to be gay and he's going to recruit others to join us!!
OK, that's way too young to qualify for the crazy old lady break. I'd ignore her and call the cops if she persists in leaving notes or threatening. Although, I must say, the ballerina/devil idea's a good one too!
Can't what she's doing be considered some sort of harassment???
Since she's only in her 50s (ish), I wouldn't think she has dementia or anything like that. Sounds to me like she's just a bigot.
Sounds like harassment to me...and it wouldn't be a bad idea to call the non-emergency police line to make a report, show them the letter, and get some history on file with the police in case the harassment continues, or she follows through on her threat to call CPS. If it gets worse...then there is the option of a restraining order, and a judge will have something to act on.
Otherwise, just stay away from wierdo and ignore her. Sorry you guys have to deal with such hate and ignorance
Holy crap. I seriously do not even know what I'd do in this situation. I wouldn't be able to NOT do anything, though. Maybe go to her house and tell her I will be the one calling the authorities--not her--because cops are more interested in harassing neighbors than CPS is about toddlers "turning gay."
And again...holy crap!
First, I would call the police and make a report of harrassment. Use the note as documented proof. Save every note, journal every conversation, etc.
Secondly, I would write a note back and tape it to her door and it would say:
"To whom it may concern.
You should know I DO know that my friend is gay. And I am fine with her lifestyle. Having her around my son is not a crime, though having him live next door to a bigot is probably not my best decision. A lesbian spending time with my son is not going to turn him gay, however I am fearful that hearing (or reading) such hate speech from you, our bigotted neighbor, may influence him to become a bigot. I am working hard to make sure that does not happen. You are very much welcome to call CPS, as I have nothing to hide, and I am also aware that they will not feel the same way you do about my gay friend. But you should also know that I have contacted the police about your "hate speech" and harrassment and I will be documenting all of our communications henceforth. Please be advised that I am asking you at this time to NOT contact me anymore in any way shape or form. Thank you and have a nice day."
This! I would file a harassment report with the police. That way if she bothers you again in the future, you can have all of the proper documentation to possibly take action against her!
I think I would do this -- talk to the police and file a report if possible. Sounds like harrassment to me as well.
I would make a point of letting her know you filed the report after you file it and that if she does/says anything else, you'll report her again. I have no idea if they would take the report, but I would be very upset about what she wrote.

In fact, we are thinking about holding a gay pride day for all of our LGBT family that lives in this apartment complex right here in our apartment. A lesbian spending time with my son is not going to turn him gay, however I am fearful that hearing such hate speech from you, our bigotted neighbor, may influence him to become a bigot. Oh and just for your own personal information, you can only become gay on the 5th Saturday in February of odd years. And by all means if you feel the need to call CPS go ahead, we'll even lend you our phone book. But as you are well aware borrowing anything from a gay makes you gay. You should also know that I have contacted the police about your "hate speech" and harrassment and I will be documenting all of our communications henceforth. As much as I'd like to give her a piece of my mind, I have found over and over again that it is best not to engage crazy in any way shape or form. Report it to the police, but don't respond to her.

As much as I would like to respond to this, I agree. I would not have said anything and just filed a report. The more you back fire the more she might end up filing harrassment against you. Those lines get grey quickly...hope everything works out well.
