Q about the rules.....this is supa-important.

Note---I used to post here more often (prior to kid #1 who is now 4, back in sunshine and puppy dog days of BOTB) so I'm not just a newbie or someone who hasn't lurked enough...but I suppose I haven't lurked much lately....whatever...

However....having just peeked over here and seeing the all important...or rather supa important rules, I have a few Q's for you intelligent gals.

1. how come BD and preggos are off limits and flameworthy, but AF is not. Granted..I hate BD and Pregs as much as the next nestie/bumpie whatever....but AF is JUST as lame...and even MORE lame when your period is refered to as "she". It's a period...you bleed for days...its not anyone's aunt. just sayin....be consistent in the rules...you can't have cutesy names for things that you think are cutesy.

2. WTF is the fingernail of feta story....I'm guessing its hilarious, whatever it is....but also weird.

3. I'm going to dd this in a few. I kid!!!!!

Fingerful of feta: girl came one here that was pregnant. I think she ate some salad at lunch that contained "a fingerful of feta cheese." She was terrified that she had killed her unborn baby so she forced herself to throw up at work.

I fingernail full of feta is the best story EVER! A girl ate a fingernail amount of feta cheese on a salad or something. She was afraid of the effects on her unborn child so she stuck her finger down her throat to puke it back up. It is a classic. Granted there are only a handful of us on here that got to witness the first hand story, but everyone gets a good laugh.

Preggers, Prego and any other version makes you sound like you are a knocked up 16 year old and therefor makes me gag. I think when anyone says it here or IRL it makes them sound like a complete idiot.

As for baby dance... well that also makes you sound like a 16 year old. I don't even know who or how they came up with this it is ridiculous. I understand that most of the terms here on the board are made to shorten terms (inlaws= ILs, my husband= MH) but when it comes to baby dance/BD why not just add the one extra letter and say SEX.

I promise I have nothing against 16 year olds but when discussing a "big people" situation like pregnancy I think you should leave your Jr. High vocabulary at home.

All in all preggers/prego will absolutely get a flame from me because you sound like an idiot. BD I think is stupid but have never flamed someone for using it.

I think there are more immature things going on on this board than the use of terms like Preggo...like jumping all over people for using the term preggo...that's one!

Also, DandR- I think Kriszta only rates her own posts 5 stars! ( how goofy if that?) So don't feel badly that she didn't give you more stars!
