Would you mind sharing some of your sources for "gut healing"?  You've referenced it a few times in your posts and I read through a little on your blog and I'm growing more and more interested.  J was just diagnosed this morning with another skin issue that's immune system related (mastocytosis).  While it doesn't seem to be bothering him- the Mastocytosis aparently can also effect the gut and cause tummy aches etc. but I don't think he can verbalize that yet or he's so used to not feeling great that he doesn't know any different.  It seems like every time we see a doctor now we're just getting another daily maintence med.  While his asthma and skin are responding to the meds they don't seem to be actually healing since every time we try to wean off a med he flares right back up.

I'd like to look at some homeopathic options but getting my DH on board with things that aren't covered by insurance is going to be difficult at best.  I need to do some homework first.

If there's anything simple we can start at home that would be great too.

TIA for your help!

Re: carlinlp

  • OBVIOUSLY i'm not carlinlp.. but i stalk her blog :) (in a non-creepy way - i swear!) lol

First of all, i'm so sorry your son was diagnosed with another skin issue! that really stinks! and i pray you guys have a break soon.  It really puts tears in my eyes to hear a child doesn't know any difference than pain.

I was curious about her methods and ended up buying some of the booklets that she posted on her Resources page by Woodland Publishing. and so far i really loved the two i read.  I purchased about 8. But they are a quick read with loads of info.  I do feel overwhelmed with many herbs and methods they write about.  I don't even know where to begin.  So i plan on reading them all and then reading them again to start a plan.  That may take a year though b/c it really is confusing (to me).

i would totally buy some of those booklets if i was you.  I would start with Digestive Enzymes and Allergies:  A Nutritional Approach (imo).. those are the two i read and plan on re-reading "allergies" again.

Go to her Resources page and you can get so much info!
