DSNG Users w/ Chicco Car Seats

Hey ladies we have the chicco keyfit 30 seats & the website says that you can use it w/ the DSNG but we are having issues w/ the seats not fitting. I have looked at the instructions & seems like we are doing everything properly.

Anyone else have any issues w/ the seats not fitting? TIA

Re: DSNG Users w/ Chicco Car Seats

  • We watched the you tube videos and everything, but could not get them to fit correctly and snug enough for my liking, so... we returned the DSNG and got the Chicco double stroller.
  • Loading the player...
  • They fit, but it takes practice. I always put the back seat in first, and then put the front seat in. You have to use pretty firm pressure to get it in there, moreso than you would think. Once you get it in a few times, it becomes second nature.

There's a youtube video that lots of people have used (it's easy to find). I preferred to put the back seat in first. It just worked easier for me.

Here's how mine looked when it was done (leaving the pics large on purpose):

  • If you read on the website they "fit" but don't snap or click in like other seats.  So we went with Peg Perego seats that do snap in.  For Chico, apparently you just strap them in which I was not comfortable with.

ETA: Above poster put her back seat on first which DSNG strongly advises against since that seat is kind of hanging out over nothing and might tip the stroller.  When our babies got bigger we definitely could not put the back one on first or the stroller would tip.

I can see that being a problem when they get a lot bigger. That would depend on how long you're using the stroller I guess. We only used it until about 5-6 months, and never had a problem with tipping. But it is definitely a valid point.

  • We put the front one in first, then the back one, then lift the front one a tad to stick the the back one under it (if that makes sense). But often we just leave the back one up at an angle and let the baby in back have a better view.
