  • Not sure what this diet it, but you need to make sure you get enough calories and liquid to produce enough milk.

    I don't know what that is, but why can't you just cut out the crap food and focus on the really good stuff like whole grains, fruit, veggies, etc.

    because you wont lose 10 lbs in a week..duh!

    OP, really? Why would you want to do this first off? Second off, nursing is way more important to me than dropping a few lbs overnight. I would never jeopardize my supply for something so silly. Why don't you join weight watchers where they have a specific program for nursing mothers?

    that sounds like a supplement, not a diet. excuse us if we thought you meant you wanted to just drink vinegar all day instead of eating. these fad diets are usually like that.

    I don't see anything wrong with drinking some vinegar a few times a day as long as you are eating normally.

  • I would be a little careful with adding too much acidity to your diet.  It can give LO a diaper rash.

    I am a lurker, but I would caution doing this.  I once tired taking apple cider vinegar daily because I read it helped with blood pressure and I ended up getting horrible eczema from it.  There was just too much acid in my system.  Plus it is gross and won't help you lose weight.  Just eat healthy food.

  • For help with digestion, you could try probiotics.

    If you're having constipation issues, try upping your fiber intake (consider cereals, stalky veggies) and talk to your OB about Miralax. It reintroduces fluid into your colon and is safe to take for as long as you need to while breastfeeding. It helped me a lot.

  • I know my H takes apple cider vinegar as a more nature remedy for heartburn.  However I would probably not try it as a nursing mom.  I know just eating acidic foods can give my LO a diaper rash.  I can't imagine what his bum would look like if I took ACV regularly.
