DS sleeps well with his mb (9-10 hours)...however, it's been loose some mornings no matter how snug i have it at bedtime. One morning he even had both arms out with the mb loosely wrapped around him...this all scares me with having loose blankets (especially around his neck and face.)
I tried to completely go without the mb one night and use a sleep sack. DS fought me for over 30 mins when he normally doesn't take that long to go to bed with the mb. I gave up and put the mb on him and he was asleep in less than 5 mins.
I can't go to a swaddle blanket and leave arms out because he kicks alot (hence needing the mb)...can I use the mb and transition with one arm out, then eventually both arms out, then completely without it?
How did you transition out of the mb? TIA!
Re: XP: Transitioning out of the miracle blanket...?
We were also using the SwaddleMe swaddles for our twins and they loved them, but they were starting to roll over in them to their bellies in the middle of the night and that made me a bit nervous, so I decided to starting "weaning them" last night. I just left out their arms and swaddled their lower bodies and one of the boys had no problem and one fussed/fought me a little. So for him, I put my hands over his hands until he fell asleep and then he was fine, he was just starting himself awake everytime his hands moved. Went much better than I expected, tonight I may just try the sleep sacks! Good luck!
