no movement @ 18 week

Anyone else not felt the baby move?

I have had regular checkups/3 ultrasounds so I'm not exactly concerned that anything is wrong.. I just think its strange that I haven't felt the baby move at all yet...

I really want to feel it soon. I almost feel like I'm missing out.

  • My doctor told me to expect it around 20-22 weeks even though I had read it was sometime between 16-20.  It is hard to wait though because I am so excited to know what it feels like!

  • I haven't felt anything either...my doctor asked me at my last appointment, but said she didn't really expect me to say I had. She said it would probably be at least until 22-24 weeks before she really expected me to feel anything for sure. I'm not to concerned about not feeling the baby at all...especially since at every single ultrasound, baby boy is sleeping! Like father like son (DH was born asleep...no lie, the doctor actually had to poke him and do the slapping bit to wake him up)...
  • I am at 18w also and haven't felt anything.  Well, I felt some random things but I think it was probably gas or hunger pains, haha!

My doc also said 20-22 weeks to feel something...

  • This is my 2nd pregnancy, and I've also felt very little movement. I felt DD at 15 weeks already, so I really thought I'd be feeling those awesome kicks by now, but I'm still waiting!! I have to mention that I have an anterior placenta, so that's maybe why. Hang in there, in a couple weeks' time you'll fell them all the time, and it's so worth the wait!!

Im preg with my second also and i thought i felt little flutters, but i really think its just gas :( i was worried until i had a sono at work and they were telling me that the little baby wouldnt sit still and i was not feeling any of the movement at all. It will come with time but i know it is hard waiting!

  • I haven't either.  Dr. said it was very normal.  Will probably feel it by 22 weeks but i know some women still haven't felt it by then either.
