The truth hurts...(vent)

Pictures don't lie. I will NOT share the pictures from my friend's wedding because I am fvcking HUGE in them. I thought the dress hid my belly - but it does not. I didn't even bring spanx or anything and totally should have. Even though I just had a baby it was 9 months ago, there is no reason to look like this. I used to be hot. I wore sexy shirts/pants/shorts, showed my midriff, cleavage, wore tiny bikinis. And it was less than 10 years ago (oh my, that does sound like a long time ago).

I really gained a lot of weight once I got married. Then I got pg and gained even more. Now I'm so unhappy!

Jillian Michaels, here I come (but not tonight - tonight I will eat the sweets we brought home from a birthday party). But tomorrow, it's on like donkey kong.

I eat like sh!t. I hate to exercise. It's my own fault. I have to change it.

Vent over.

I didn't read it as fishing at all, I read it as you being way too hard on yourself. ;) So cut it out!

    All of THIS!

And all of that said I know exactly how you feel! I had a surprise 30th for H 3 weeks after Emily was born and thought I looked great for being 3 weeks PP. I was putting all the pics into her online photo book this weekend and couldn't believe how huge I was. Sadly I'm not much smaller now (about 5 lbs).

I know it's easy to be hard on ourselves, but pictures definitely don't lie. I eat like crap and don't exercise either. Hope you can get back on track and feel better about yourself soon! I want to start Jillian again next week...

  • You are gorgeous as you are, and we're behind you 100% if you are determined to change your lifestyle! Smile

    You go girl!

  • I feel the same way you do, you are not alone.  Can't seem to find the TIME and motivation to stick with an exercise program, and my diet needs vast improvement and portion control.  I used to have a great bod.  Now I'm stuck at +15 my normal weight (10 of that is newlywed lbs and 5 left from pregnancy) which is sticking to all the wrong places so I am not wearing it well and still can't fit into many of my pre-preg clothes without having sick muffin top bulges.  I am hardly in any pics with DD because I am embarrassed by how I look.  Yet not enough to pass on the leftover stuffing I had with dinner, apparently.  Anyway, I would tell you not to be hard on yourself, but I am feeling the exact same way.  Not sure what to suggest other than maybe if we both just try to start making better choices and being more active, without being psycho about it, we can slowly and steadily see the number on the scale creep back to a place where we feel good about ourselves.
  • How tiny were you pre preg? Because when you first posted your sig pic, I was like OMG she is to tiny at 9 mos preg! No joke, I actually said that....

Anywho, if you hate exercising, maybe you can change your diet? I assume you already eat somewhat healthy because of BF-ing and also feeding LO.... but maybe you can cut stuff here and there? I don't know, I hate exercising, so I always try to improve my diet...by cutting down on processed foods, you know?

Also, I heard that you lose weight when you quit breastfeeding so don't worry!!
